JCAHO Certification

CynaMed was the first medical staffing company to be awarded the Joint Commissions Gold Seal of Approval. Founded in 1951, the Joint Commission seeks to continuously improve health care for the public in collaboration with other stakeholders. This highly respected certification is only offered to healthcare organizations that meet rigorous national quality standards for care and safety. The Joint Commission evaluates CynaMed and inspires us to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value. In maintaining the Joint Commissions Gold Seal of Approval™, CynaMed is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality reflecting our commitment to meeting high performance standards.

Medical staffing firms, like CynaMed, are eligible for Joint Commission certification if they:
  • Place clinical staff in other organizations that oversee or provide direct patient care
  • Have at least a four-month track record of being in business and meeting the standards
  • Place clinical staff under the direct supervision of another organization’s personnel
  • Have placed at least 10 clinical staff during that four-month time period

This assures our clients that CynaMed is continuously improving and maintaining nationally recognized industry standards for compliance, quality and excellence in our service delivery options.

JCAHO requires Re-certification every other year. These reviews are unannounced and take place on-site. The review evaluates performance, placement criteria, continuing education and training and other areas. The Joint Commission’s Health Care Staffing Services (HCSS) Certification Program provides an independent, comprehensive evaluation of a staffing firm’s ability to provide qualified and competent staffing services.
